Foot fetishes, sex clubs & swinging feature in our podcast... everyone has a fetish, say Sarah Jayne

THEY are both gorgeous – and have the gift of the gab.

In fact, Hollyoaks actress Sarah Jayne Dunn and former Page 3 favourite Rhian Sugden have so much to talk about, they’ve started their own podcast.

In Hot And Bothered, they discuss everything from foot fetishes to sex clubs and swinging.

Sarah Jayne, 40, played Mandy Richardson on Hollyoaks for 26 years until she was sensationally dropped last year for having an account on adult subscription site OnlyFans, and that is how the pair bonded.

Married Sarah Jayne, who has five-year-old son Stanley with husband Jonathan Smith, a personal trainer, says: “We’re talking about topics that are seen as taboo, but everyone has sex — and as we’re discovering, everyone has their little fetish or something they are into.”

Rhian, 35, who is married to actor Oliver Mellor, says: “The topics that come up...let’s just say we’re learning a lot! I’m jealous of how much fun some people are having. We feel so boring in comparison.”

But there are also some saucy secrets the podcast pair have discovered about each other.

Sarah Jayne said: “Rhian suddenly blurted out that she ran an online sex shop for three years.” Rhian said: “Sarah once dressed up as a sexy nurse.”

But what else are they finding out about the nation’s bedroom habits?

Here, they share their thoughts on just some of the eye-opening confessions listeners* have sent in.

Sarah Jayne: “Well, have you asked her the question? She might be more adventurous than you think. We’re finding it’s often the quiet ones who are.”

Rhian: “I’m not sure how I’d ever start that conversation. Maybe say something like, ‘By the way, did you know Sarah’s well into swinging — would you ever be up for that?’. If you don’t ask, you don’t get.”

Sarah Jayne: “Absolutely. Not for me though, I’d be too jealous. It would be playing on my mind afterwards.”

Rhian: “Me too. I couldn’t watch Oliver with anyone else. I would be so insecure.”

Rhian: “How would you do it? Would you bring in a stranger? But then you’d have to book them in for a time and then there’s no spontaneity.

“I could see how it might be better if you’re at a party and you get frisky with a friend. But I’ve known people who have done that and never spoken to the friend since.”

Sarah Jayne: “Yeah, it could ruin a friendship and a relationship.”

Rhian: “Have you seen that programme where couples go to a retreat to have a threesome on TV? There was one episode where the two girls were going at it and the bloke just lay there and fell asleep.

“I think there’d always be a third wheel who is left out.”

Maybe this is where porn comes in — you can watch the fantasy without dealing with the reality?

Sarah Jayne

Sarah Jayne: “It works for some people, though. Maybe this is where porn comes in — you can watch the fantasy without dealing with the reality?

“We definitely need to get people who have had these experiences to come on the podcast. I’d be fascinated to know how it all works.”

Rhian: “If you’re in love with your colleague, then you’ve built up some rapport with them and, to my mind, already crossed the line.

“If a partner told me that they had fallen in love with someone else, I would be heartbroken. That’s far worse than having a one-night stand with Sheila down the road.

Sarah Jayne: “The other aspect is your sexuality. Have you been attracted to another man before? The colleague might be completely oblivious. They might feel the same way but have ruled out anything happening with you because you’re married.”

Rhian: “You’ve got to talk to the colleague first and see if they feel the same way, then go from there.”

I follow hot girls on Instagram — I don’t fancy them, I admire the female form.

Rhian Sudgen

Sarah Jayne: “Have you ever fancied a woman? I have a girl crush on Megan Fox, but it’s not a sexual thing. It’s because I like looking at beautiful women.”

Rhian: “I’m the same. I follow hot girls on Instagram — I don’t fancy them, I admire the female form.”

Rhian: “Block them on everything. Don’t do what I’ve done when I’ve still been in love with an ex and obsessively check up on what they’re doing on their social media.

“Cut it off, otherwise you’ll never move forward. It is so awful when you get stuck, it’s something that you just have to get through.

Sarah Jayne: “Heartbreak is like grief, isn’t it? The person hasn’t passed away but they are not part of your life any more — at least, not in my experience, I’ve never stayed friends with my exes.

“You have to allow yourself to grieve, cut off all communication and spend more time on yourself. And if you’re on a night out, give a friend your phone so that you don’t go sending any drunk messages!”

Rhian: “That’s the worst — when you wake up the next morning and see what you’ve done. Especially if they ignored you — it’s just agony.”

Rhian: “I’ve been to [fetish club] Torture Garden in London a few times and I’d fully encourage everyone to try it. I’m going to drag Sarah along.

“It’s just amazing people-watching. There were people walking around naked, there was a man crawling on the floor asking to kiss your feet. It just opens your eyes. There’s no obligation to do anything.”

It’s all about expressing your sexuality, and nobody would turn a blind eye in Amsterdam.

Sarah Jayne

Sarah Jayne: “You don’t have to drag me — I can’t wait! It fascinates me. I think I’ve led a pretty sheltered life and now I’m in my forties, I think, ‘Why not?’.

“It’s all about expressing your sexuality, and nobody would turn a blind eye in Amsterdam — it’s just we’re too prudish over here.”

Sarah Jayne: “Lots of people do. We get so many requests for pictures of our feet. If someone wants to pay me for a photo of my feet, why not?

“Shoe-dangling is a thing, apparently — where you dangle a shoe off your toe. Maybe it’s alluding to taking your clothes off, or perhaps it’s about the shape of the arch of your foot.

“It shouldn’t be seen as weird just because not everyone finds that sexy. We’ve had people message to say they like hairy armpits and all sorts. Gunging’s another — that’s when you literally get covered in slime or something like custard.”

Rhian: “I feel like that would need a lot of preparation. I can’t really see myself throwing custard over myself in the garden, with the neighbours looking over.

“Feet and smoking are the two most popular requests I get. I think smoking stinks. I don’t get the fascination at all but so many people want a video of me smoking.”

Rhian: “If you’ve never dressed up before, I’d start with a nice set of new underwear. Don’t just turn up in the bedroom dressed as a maid, out of the blue. Oliver and I have done that thing of going to a bar and pretending to be strangers.

“I can do it if I’m wearing a wig because then I feel like someone else. I’d quite like him to dress up in that white sailor uniform, I like that.”

Sarah Jayne: “I’ve dressed up as a nurse for OnlyFans. I couldn’t do something like that with my husband — we’d both end up in hysterics. I can take on acting roles and be different people, but not in the bedroom. That would feel too odd.

“And I’d never want him to dress up for me. I love the Magic Mike show — I think those male strippers are amazing. But I do find it a bit cheesy when they come out in police uniform with a big truncheon.”

Rhian: “You don’t want Jonathan dancing into your bedroom like that?”
