Kate Gosselin's Lawyer: Jon Still Owes $151,500

July 2024 · 2 minute read

Jon Gosselin, it seems, has not paid up.

Kate Gosselin's lawyer, Mark Momjian, is refuting an earlier report that his client's husband is now "in full compliance" with court orders, claiming that he has not fully replenished a shared bank account with $180,000 he removed without authorization. In fact, Momjian tells Usmagazine.com, as of this afternoon, Jon Gosselin has only deposited $28,500.

"The only proof of money we received is $28,500 that was sent over a week ago," the attorney tells Us. "The only thing we're looking for is the difference, which is about $151,500. We have not yet received confirmation of that."

Jon Gosselin's attorney, Mark Heller, told Usmagazine.com, "Jon has completely complied with all of the directives of the court. He complied. He met all the mandates."

"That’s factually incorrect," Momjian tells Us.

Momjian points out that Heller is no longer representing Jon in the divorce proceedings, noting that Jon is now represented by Charles Meyer. "[Heller] is not the lawyer for this Pennsylvania proceeding."

If the remaining $151,500 is not deposited by Monday? "We'll be in court. We'll be in court." Momjian says.

On Oct. 13, a Pennsylvania judge ordered the father of eight to return $180,000 to the couple's joint bank account; Kate alleged that she was left with just $1345 to pay the family bills.
