Vanessa Murdock is an American TV broadcaster and a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist. Further, she is also a member of the American Meteorological Society and also of the National Weather Association.

Vanessa Murdock was born on Long Island, the United States. There are no further details regarding her date of birth and her parents. She is of American nationality, while her ethnicity is still unknown. 

Murdock grew up in a small town in Center Moriches, where she also attended her school. She later graduated from the University of Rochester with a degree in Evolutionary Biology and Ecology. Vanessa also attended Penn State University from where she also graduated with a master's degree in Meteorology.

After her graduation from Penn University, Vanessa moved to Central Virginia where she began her career as Broadcast Metrologist. There she worked for WCAV/WVAW/WAHU.

Career as an Anchor & Metrologist

She then worked for 2 years as an evening weather anchor for ABC and FOX affiliates in May 2005, based in Charlottesville. Then in November of 2006, she moved from Charlottesville to join the Viper Weather team. 

Vanessa worked as a weekend metrologist for News Channel 3 (CBS) for five years in Norfolk in June 2007. Apart from working as a broadcast metrologist, she also taught Metrology at Virginia Wesleyan College since 2007.

Vanessa currently works as a broadcaster meteorologist at the CBS2 weather Team alongside Chris Wragge, Dana Tyler, and Steve Johnson's wife Kristine Johnson. Murdock has been nominated for the Emmy Awards for her contribution to the field of Meteorology in television.
