In addition, Virginia Wade lifted 1977 Wimbledon on the auspicious occasion of Queen’s silver jubilee and the 100th anniversary of Wimbledon, beating Betty Stöve in three sets in the final.

In doubles, he lifted the U.S Open twice in his career, Australian Open, and the French Open.
